About 18 years
ago I became the proud mommy of my
firstborn daughter. I hand
embellished her onesies, tees and
denim jackets with paint, hand dying
and rhinestones. Then I started
doing the same for my friends’ and
neighbors’ children. I have always
been very creative and enjoy doing
anything with my hands. (I would
probably build houses if I knew how
to!)
I wound up having
to go to work for the city of New
York—not for the love of the job,
but because I needed the money. The
job required that I work every
weekend and holiday. I sacrificed
lots of special occasions and tender
moments with my children during this
time.
Fast forward
fourteen years later, to 2004. I
married my Prince Charming. We
blended our family, consisting of a
daughter and three sons. Then I was
blessed with another baby girl!
Once again, I
started hand embellishing baby
clothes. After receiving many
compliments, I decided it was time
to do something I love. I started my
own company,
Baby Couture
and now The Tot Too Parlor. It's a
win-win situation. I am able to earn
my own income while being present
for my family. There's no better
feeling than being there for my
family!
